UKirk Sunday

ukirk sunday

The Presbytery of St. Andrew has three active faith communities for college students, at Delta State, Mississippi State, and the University of Mississippi. Whether or not you're near one of these campuses,
you're invited to celebrate the importance of campus ministry on (or around) April 19, for our third annual UKirk Sunday!

Celebrating with us could mean including some campus-ministry-centered liturgy in your regular service, hosting a speaker to briefly share what campus ministry means to them, receiving a special offering, or even putting together care packages or finals week notes of support for the UKirk ministry closest to you, or another idea you dream up.

If you are interested in hosting a student student speaker to share a Minute for Mission about campus ministry, we'll do our best to find one who's available. And check back soon for liturgy and a bulletin insert you can use or adapt for your congregation. Questions? Contact Allison Wehrung at

PS - Wondering where the word "UKirk" came from? "Kirk" is a Scottish word for church, and the "U" is for "university." So, put together they are University Church.
